Sunny (as he is known) is the Managing Director of Simplisafe Security & Allied Services Pvt. Ltd. He is also the Proprietor of Fortrop Risk Consultancy Services, India’s one of the leading Risk Management consulting firms. He has also managed the provision of security guards in limestone mines for SAIL in Kuteshwar, Madhya Pradesh. He has been instrumental in providing guards and security services at various locations in NCR as a Director of Cyclops Security and Allied Services
He has led protective security and risk management assignments, throughout the Indian subcontinent for high-profile and high net worth multinational clients. He has successfully conducted protective security assignments in the insurgency/Naxalite-affected Indian states of Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. He has provided Close/Executive Protection in the Maoist infected Nepal for many high-profile US-based clients. Before taking up the current position, Sunny had been the Practice Head for Protective Security & Special Operations of Hill & Associates - Asia’s one of the leading Risk Management Consulting Companies with its headquarters in Hong Kong.
Sunny has advised a number of clients when some of the key personnel came under
threat. He had conducted a number of investigative interviews to track down frauds within the company and advise them on preventive measures. He is an acknowledged expert in operating in the high-risk security environment in the insurgency torn North East states of India. Sunny has conducted a number of Risk Assessment tasks of locations and facilities in most of the High threat areas of India. During his career as a protective security specialist, Sunny had provided consultancy services to Fortune 500 Companies.
Sunny’s role in evacuating clients and their families from Sri Lanka when the Tsunami
hit in December 2004 was appreciated by the international community. He was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for this outstanding feat. He had also conducted security training assignments in Nepal for International Development organizations.
Prior to his consulting career, Sunny served as an Infantry Officer in Indian Army for over 16 years. His specialization was counter-insurgency operations and intelligence collection. While serving in the Indian Armed Forces, he was instrumental in the planning and execution of numerous counter-insurgency strikes principally in the northeastern states of India and Punjab. He also led a Mountaineering Expedition to Mount Kedardome (6830 m) that has been commended by the Guinness Book of World Records in 1994.
Sunny is an alumni of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). He is also a qualified lead auditor for the Social Accountability International Standard SA 8000. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Nepali, and Manipuri languages.
